The AT 16 or T6 Harvard was the most built training aircraft during World War II with over 15'000 units and had its first flight in 1935. This extraordinary aircraft was used in the US Airforce and Navy, as well as for the training of Swiss Army pilots. In 1968 the AT 16 / T6 Harvard was retired and is now available for vintage airplane tours for enthusiasts.

The 9-cylinder radial engine with a displacement of 22 liters develops 620 hp and a speed of 330 km/h, with a maximum total weight of 2.5 tons. The retractable undercarriage and landing flaps are operated completely mechanically, which demands a lot from the pilot. The aircraft also allows limited aerobatics such as loops and rolls. This vintage flight with the AT-16 takes place all year round. From spring to fall from Birrfeld airfield and in winter from Langenthal airfield. As this vintage flight is a special flight, a certain flexibility in finding dates is an advantage.

This vintage airplane flight for enthusiasts takes place during the warmer months from Birrfeld airfield between Aarau and Zurich.

The airfield offers a restaurant and many attractions for spectators.

In winter, the aircraft is based at Langenthal airfield near Oftringen, from where sightseeing flights are also offered in good weather and on a snow-free runway.
