Flying at 85 in a biplane with looping and taxiing included was the fulfillment of a long-time wish and an unforgettable experience. Many thanks to Rolf for his companionable manner and calmness. I'll be back soon!

The Bücker with Rolf on SA 2.7.2022 was a great experience. As requested, the flight went over Bern, Fribourg, Lake Neuchâtel, Grosses Moos, Büren an der Aare and back to Grenchen. The weather was perfect, as was the visibility, and the Bücker purred along the whole route as if it were a matter of course.
Rolf kept giving us local tips and checking on his passenger's condition. After an hour, we landed perfectly in Grenchen and I was enriched by a great experience. Rolf, thank you very much for this flight!

Flying a biplane has always been a dream of mine that was to come true at some point. On my 60th birthday, the time had come. My family surprised me with a biplane flight from Flight Base.
Rolf landed his Bücker at Grenchen Airport. Rolf is a really enthusiastic pilot who has had his pilot's license for 35 years. He explained the history of this legendary aircraft, which was much smaller
than I thought. Then we took off, a short taxi on the grass runway and we were airborne. The feeling of flying without being in a cabin was indescribable. The knowledge that there is only a minimum of technology, control sticks, foot pedals and 2-3 displays in the cockpit, is one of the attractions that makes this type of flying so unique.
After a few minutes of flying, Rolf left the controls of the Bücker to me, but I had a little respect. The flight took us from Grenchen via Burgdorf to Lake Thun, where he asked me if I was ready for loops and rolls. It was a really cool experience and I survived it well. I also had a very safe feeling with Rolf with his calm manner and his noticeable professionalism. After the tricks, we flew around the Stockhorn and back to Grenchen via Seeland.
It was an incredible experience that I will always remember.
