On this helicopter flight, you will get to see the most spectacular places in the Bernese Oberland. As if the breathtaking mountains around the Eiger Mönch and Jungfrau weren't enough, your pilot will also land the helicopter right next to the Mutthorn Hut. The hut is surrounded by glaciers in the high alpine terrain of the Bernese Alps. After taking off from Bern Belp airfield, you will fly over Lake Thun past the Niesen into the Kandertal valley. After flying over the Blüemlisalphütte and through the Gamchilücke, the Mutthornhütte appears in front of you. The pilot skillfully lands the helicopter on the eternal ice and stops the turbine.

Only a 150-metre walk now separates you from the hut and a rustic aperitif at almost 3,000 meters above sea level. After about an hour's stay, the route takes you back towards Lake Thun and Bern Belp via the Lauterbrunnen Valley, which offers another highlight with its steep rock faces.

Passengers must be able to walk well for the short hike to the Mutthornhütte. The path is stony and can also be a little icy.

The Mutthornhütte is currently closed due to the risk of rockfall. Flights are therefore not possible at the moment.

Location sightseeing flight Mutthorn glacier landing


The Mutthornhütte helicopter sightseeing flight takes place in Bern Belp. The pilot will land right next to the Mutthornhütte, which is located in the high alpine terrain of the Bernese Alps.

The meeting point can be reached by car (parking available) or by bus (bus stop "Giessenbad"). The flight route may vary slightly.
