Panorama Balloon Ride

Mr. MArcel Wittwer Sulgen is a very experienced and cautious pilot. The flight was scheduled for Thursday evening and the gusts caused him to cancel the flight. After half an hour, when it was already late, he made a small hop close to the ground to Sulgen. We could already feel the wind, but we landed safely. Instead, he invited us back for the official flight on Saturday morning and we were able to enjoy the Alps and much more in a very light wind. Wonderful. You feel like the Grand Duke on his balcony, floating along at an altitude of 1200 meters.

The support and organization during the whole trip from the pilot and accompanying persons were very competent.
Anytime again!
The only point of criticism for me, I would have liked to know the flight region beforehand. Personally, I would have liked to have flown more over the mountains and Zurich region in the balloon.

Hi Simone
Thank you very much for your feedback. When ballooning, we fly without a motor and are only driven by the current wind. We can therefore only influence the route to a limited extent and cannot predict it very well. But this makes ballooning all the more exciting :-) Your Flightbase Team

Dear Manfred, dear flight-base team
Saturday, August 22nd was a great experience for us. It was our third time in a balloon.
The circumstances were emotional, as my wife Marie-Thérèse is a native of Gruyère,
The gentle take-off in Epany FR and the landing in Sangernboden BE were fantastic for us. The friendly Croux, the fantastic alpine panorama, the beautiful landscapes, the foothills of the Alps, the valleys and lakes.
We will definitely take to the air again,
in late fall or winter, when the air is a little clearer. (less haze)
Many thanks and continued success

Our balloon flight took place as planned on July 12 in the late afternoon and we all enjoyed it immensely. The trip went from Wangen an der Aare over to the Lucerne hinterland, landing near Grosswangen, within sight of Mount Pilatus. For me, it was a familiar area that I was able to visit in an unusual way, and for my family it was an unusual way to get to know their new home (we returned to the country in 2011 after 21 years abroad). I was given unusual views of how exotic this "ordinary" region can appear to foreign eyes. The low-flying phases, which were probably necessary to test the ground wind that prevailed on landing, are particularly memorable. The flight experience is particularly impressive at relatively slow propulsion a few dozen meters above the ground. I wonder to what extent it is possible to make balloon flights exclusively at such low altitudes. At least in that area it would probably be possible due to the lack of power lines etc. The landing was probably a little rough, but, like the impressive take-off, it was flawless thanks to the pilot Manfred Streit's very good control of the aircraft and contributed greatly to an unforgettable end to the flight.
Many thanks

The balloon ride was super nice, comfortable and the wind took us to our destination perfectly. The pilot was confident, friendly and was able to answer all our questions. We were always safe on the way and the landing was, how could it be otherwise after such a beautiful flight, once again perfect. Many thanks again to the pilot Manfred.
